Bennie and the Jets Sweepstakes Rules


Starting Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 5AM WNYY will be starting the “Bennie and the Jets” contest. This enter to win online sweepstakes will be held on WNYY. Listeners can enter at www.pureoldies.com by clicking on the contest page and following the onscreen prompts. Listeners can enter once per day until the close of the contest on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 9:00 AM.

Prizes will be awarded Wednesday, October 23, 2019 with all winners being chosen at random from all valid entries.

Each of our winners (5 total) will win will-call tickets to the “Bennie and the Jets: The Ultimate Elton Experience Featuring Jeff Scott” show being held on Friday, October 25th at 6 PM at Tioga Downs. They will have their name and contact information sent to the venue (Tioga Downs). Our winning entrant (s) will be contacted by phone after the close of the contest.

Approximate retail value for each pair of tickets – $40

Must be 21+ to enter. One entry per day per person. Submitting more than one entry per person per day will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participants entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the email address sued to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these official rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

WNYY contests are open to all eligible New York State and Pennsylvania State residents 21 or older have not won anything on WNYY in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WNYY, Cayuga Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WNYY main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

No purchase necessary. Prize is not redeemable or transferable for cash. WNYY sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WNYY shall have no further responsibility if the prize winner for any reason cannot or decides not to use any of the prize. Winner responsible for all applicable federal and state taxes. Fees and incidentals are not included with the prize and are the sole responsibility of the winner.
