ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Authorities in Ithaca are trying to locate a missing person.
Police say 33-year-old Thomas Rath, of Ithaca, was last seen on or about May 17, 2023, in the encampment behind Lowes, often referred to as ‘the Jungle.’ The Ithaca Police Department, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department, and the New York State Police are investigating, calling the circumstances around the disappearance ‘suspicious in nature.’ They conducted a join foot search for Rath on May 27, 2023, that turned up nothing, and they are ‘concerned for his safety.’
Rath is 6’00” and weighs about 145 pounds with many tattoos, including a distinctive black and pink heart tattoo on his neck. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a black hooded shirt and carrying a blue bag.
