Cornell Police charge woman with residence hall burglary

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Ithaca woman will face a burglary charge in Tompkins County Court.

Ithaca Police took custody of Diamond Westfield on May 12, 2023, after a theft investigation about a backpack that was stolen on May 9, 2023, from Cascadilla Residence Hall at Cornell University. She was turned over to the Cornell Police Department, arrested, and charged. Westfield is being held in Tompkins County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.

The 39-year-old Westfield was previously arrested and charged with burglary by Cornell Police in April.
