Here is this week’s Fall Foliage Report. These are obtained from field observers and reflect expected color conditions for the coming weekend. In Tompkins County, foliage will be just at the end of midpoint of change this weekend, with 70 percent color transition. Look for bright shades of yellow and orange along with some bright and muted shades of red. For Cortland County look for up to 60 percent color change with red, yellow and orange leaves of average brilliance. Across Steuben County foliage spotters expect 75 percent color change and bright red, gold, yellow and orange leaves heading toward near-peak. In Cayuga County, foliage spotters predict foliage will be at midpoint of change with 50 percent color transition and lots of bright shades of red, orange and yellow, along with the remaining green. And in Broome County, leaves will be at midpoint of change to near-peak this weekend. Look for around 45 percent color change with average to bright yellow, red and green leaves.
