44th Annual Strawberry Festival runs through Saturday in Owego

OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – The 44th annual Strawberry Festival returns to Owego.

The celebration officially kicks off tonight with the Rock N’ Run 5K at Hickories Park.

Registration begins at 4:30 p.m., and the 5K starts at 5 p.m. Tomorrow, festivities shift to Downtown Owego for the Friday night block party. There will be over a dozen live performances across multiple stages, as well as food, beverage, and craft vendors throughout the village. Last call at the beer and wine tent will be 8:45 p.m., and the evening will culminate with fireworks at 9:30 at Draper Park.

On Saturday morning, things get going at 9 o’clock, with the parade beginning promptly at 9:30 a.m. Live music, food, and craft vendors will operate throughout the day. The festival ends at 5 p.m.
