ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Cayuga Medical Center (CMC) is receiving national praise.

CMC, an affiliate of Centralus Health, has been named one of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals of 2026 by Newsweek.

The evaluation was determined using quality metrics, patient experience derived from public survey data, and a reputation score based on recommendations from healthcare professionals in maternity care.

“This national recognition speaks to the extraordinary dedication and compassion of our maternity care teams,” said Centralus Health System Director of Maternal Child Health, Robyn Torgalski. “Our nurses, physicians, midwives, and support staff work together to ensure every family feels heard, supported, and safe.
