Cornell men’s soccer, IC volleyball pick up NCAA tourney wins

The Cornell men’s soccer team is advancing in the NCAA tournament. The Big Red blanked Lafayette 4-0 on Thursday. Junior Adam Schaban scored two goals in the victory. Cornell next faces UConn on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Connecticut.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen might be sore for a few days. Allen was sacked eight times on Thursday, as Buffalo fell to Houston 23-19. The Bills committed three turnovers in the loss.

The Giants visit the Lions on Sunday at 1 p.m. New York enters the matchup on a five-game losing streak. The game will be broadcast on 96.3 The Buzzer.

The SUNY Cortland football team competes in the NCAA tournament this weekend. The Red Dragons play Springfield on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Massachusetts.

The Cornell men’s hockey team has two home games this weekend. Cornell hosts Union tonight at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Big Red will entertain RPI at 7 p.m.

The Ithaca College volleyball team is moving on in the NCAA tournament. The Bombers eliminated Plymouth State on Thursday. Ithaca next faces Wesleyan tonight at 7 p.m. in Connecticut.

The Syracuse women’s basketball team hosts Utah tonight at 5 p.m. Syracuse enters the matchup on a four-game win streak.

There’s a hockey game this weekend in the Salt City. The Bridgeport Islanders visit the Syracuse Crunch on Saturday at 7 p.m.
