Kiwanis of Cortland celebrates successful 8th Annual PB&J Drive

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — In the Kiwanis of Cortland 8th Annual PB&J Drive, approximately 1,160 jars of peanut butter and jelly were collected to help fight food insecurity across the county.

The donations supported 580 families throughout Cortland County. Distribution included 410 families served through local snack pack (backpack) programs, as well as families served by the High School Pantry, the SUNY Cortland Pantry, the Senior Pantry, Loaves & Fishes, and eight additional smaller food pantries throughout the county.

“This drive continues to demonstrate what makes Cortland such a special place, neighbors coming together to support neighbors,” said representatives of Kiwanis of Cortland. “The response from our community was truly inspiring.”
