Love Ithaca event set to help more than a dozen community organizations and programs

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — On Saturday, May 2nd, volunteers can choose from various Tompkins County community organizations and programs and help them with various projects.

Love Ithaca kicks off at 8:00 a.m. at the Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC). Volunteers can sign up to help a community organization of their choosing for the day. Organizations to choose from include:

  • Adopt a Highway
  • Beverly J. Martin Elementary School
  • Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County Beautification Program
  • Ellis Hollow Community Center
  • Friends of Stewart Park
  • Ithaca Catholic Workers
  • Second Wind Cottages
  • Southside Community Center
  • Catholic Charities
  • GIAC
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Ithaca Children’s Garden
