(607NewsNow) — Our pets of the week start with Mia (Top L) and Chase (Top R) from CNY Snap.

Mia is about 7 to 8 months old and is a friendly and curious cat. She loves attention and will frequently rush over to people to be pet. Mia is very gentle and affectionate and often shows her roommate Margo that it’s okay to trust people.

Chase is about 5 months old and has been at the shelter since November 2025. She was rescued as a baby with her brother and was living as part of a colony in the woods. She’s still a little shy and needs people who can be patient with her and let her open up. It might be best for her to go to a home with her brother, or that has another young cat for her to play with.

Next, we have Penelope (Bottom L) and Dee-Dee (Bottom R) from the Cortland County SPCA. Penelope is 3 years old and is very affectionate. Her ideal day includes lots of cuddles and having calm, peaceful time with her favorite people. Since she prefers a quieter environment, a home without young kids is ideal. Penelope will make a loyal and gentle companion who will bring lots of love and comfort to her home.

Dee-Dee is a sweet and quiet girl who is a bit reserved, but occasionally shows her goofy side, especially when she knows she’s getting treats. She also prefers a calm environment and likes calm, friendly interactions with people and other animals. A home that feels safe and secure and shows her lots of love is ideal for Dee-Dee.
