State officials cut ribbon at Broome-Tioga BOCES Trade Complex

BINGHAMTON, NY (607NewsNow) – Workforce development takes a step forward in the Southern Tier.

Officials cut the ribbon last week at Broome-Tioga BOCES‘ brand-new Trade Complex.

According to State Senator Lea Webb, who attended the event, the facility will help prepare students for careers in skilled trades like heavy equipment operation, truck driving, renewable energy installation, and more.

Webb adds the investment will support good-paying jobs and build a “brighter future for the Southern Tier.”

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo secured $1.3 million in state funding to help support the project.
