ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A new resource is making it easier to navigate traffic delays in Tompkins County.

On June 3, the Ithaca-Tompkins County Transportation Council (ITCTC) launched an interactive online road work map.

The new map consolidates when and where road work projects are happening in the county throughout the calendar year into a single source. It includes information on curb and gutter work, culverts, bridges, construction-related road closures, paving, chip sealing, and sidewalk work.

ITCTC personnel coordinated with the City of Ithaca, the Tompkins County Highway Department, Cornell University, and local towns and villages to collect data. Each project on the map includes a general description, sponsor name, contact information, and link.

The map is available on the ITCTC department’s section of the Tompkins County website.
