MCGRAW, NY (607NewsNow) — The United Way for Cortland County (UWCC) is supporting a Swing Set Fundraiser to purchase a new swing set ahead of the summer season for the McGraw Recreation Park.

The UWCC aims to upgrade the park’s swing set as part of the upcoming McGraw Spring Day of Caring volunteer event on Friday, May 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“Supporting this fundraiser means investing in the health, happiness, and development of local children,” said Timothy J. Haskell of the United Way for Cortland County. “Playgrounds are more than equipment, they are spaces where friendships are formed, confidence is built, and families come together. This project helps ensure that opportunity remains accessible to all youth in our community.”

Volunteers participating in the Day of Caring will also help with beautification and improvement efforts in the surrounding park and other designated community areas through general cleanup, landscaping, and painting.
