United Way for Cortland County raising $4K for McGraw park

MCGRAW, NY (607NewsNow) — The United Way for Cortland County is trying to raise money in McGraw.

Executive Director Kristina Thelan tells 607 News Now the Spring Day of Caring is focused on the purchase and installation of a new swing set at McGraw Recreation Park.

“We are looking to have it be a nice, shiny, inspiring, fun piece of equipment that kids will want to run to and play on immediately,” Thelan said.

The United Way’s Spring Day of Caring in McGraw will also include efforts to make the park more attractive through landscaping, trash collection, and painting. It’s being held Friday, May 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
